Our Lucky baby is named Reilly. He is 4 yrs old. We just
purchased him from Sunset Hill Farm, who purchased him from the breeder,
Playland Farm. We live in Howard County, Maryland and board him at
Sunset Hill Farm. Chrissy has taken Reilly to a pipe opener and one
starter event. Reilly was great at the dressage with a first place score
of 34 but unfortunately had some trouble in the stadium and had to
retire. He has been working on his jumping and has found out that is
great and he always wants to do more. He is a joy to own. He is smart,
funny, loveable and quick to learn new things and has great potential in
dressage and jumping. His love for carrots is unmatched. We feel we are
LUCKY to own our Lucky baby.

Hi Susan,
I have an 05' lucky baby out of my Hol/TB event mare. I love him to
death. I wouldn't sell him for anything, even though I have had opffers!
He
is 18 months old and one of the quietest horses in the barn. Thats a lot
considering I am boarding at a western pleasure facility (It's slim
pickings
in Mississippi) He is at least at big as the quarter horses that he gets
turned out with. He is a wonderful elastic and floaty mover. This kid
gets
some air!
He jumps branches in the field for fun! Because I moved down from
Maryland
he had to be shipped when he was less than a yearling. I was very
worried
about how he would act. The transport company assured me that he was a
champ
and loaded and unloaded like a pro even though he had only been on a
trailer
once before! He is very easy to get along with. His mother is a little
hot
headed so it was a gift to get a baby so agreeable. |

Hi,
I was on your website and noticed the little note asking for updates on
Lucky babies. Attached are pics of "Asking for Trouble" a June 2003
Lucky baby out of a mare of unknown breeding. He's a naturally talented
mover and especially loves to jump. He's been very easy to train so far,
having been started w/t/c and over small fences before being turned out
to grow for the winter. He will be for sale in the spring due to grad
school expenses if you know anyone who's interested. I'm asking 10k
which will go up once he gets to a couple of shows.

Mateo was in Maryland at a barn called: His Lordships
kindness. They had put an advertisement in the Equiery magazine.
My sister-in-law breeds German line Hanoverians in Owings, MD. When I
told her I wanted to look at Mateo she thought I was crazy for even
considering a 3YO.
She went and saw him, as I live in Florida, fell in love. Could not
believe how sensible and calm he was.
I purchased him as a 3YO (5/28/99) in July 2002.
His dam is a mare named Precious, I think from the Frederick area.
I contacted I.D.H.S. about having him registered and they could not have
been more helpful. Briana knew John Shorthill and we were able to get
the stallion cert. and with DNA I got him registered.
Mateo is a 16.1 1/2 hand Gelding and truly magnificent! As you can see,
he has won my heart. I ride him 5 - 6 days a week and he is always
concerned about my safety! It is a good thing at my age.
I hope to take him to a show this year, but will need to keep you posted
on that one! I
My daughter Theo took him to USPC championships in 2004 in Lexington, KY
- Dressage/Training Level.
She has competed him at Fannin Hill Farm, Brooksville, FL: Rockinghorse
Stables, Altoona, FL. along with numerous Pony Club Rallies.
Sincerely,
Gail Adams
